  • Good result as compared to University and other colleges.
  • Cordial atmosphere in the department with hard working and co-operative teaching and non teaching staff.
  • Numerous latest subject books are available in the central library.
  • Number of students securing good position in Student Seminar organized by Vidarbha University Physics Teacher Association,

Weakness:

  • Research facility is not available.
  • Low cutoff percentage during admission which affects the result.
  • Inadequate number of faculty in the department.
  • Financial constraints of students.

Opportunities:

  • Academic and personal growth through short term courses/ Workshops/ National and International seminars/ conferences and research projects.
  • Provides opportunity to students appears in competitive examinations.
  • Develop scientific temperament and versatile personality of students.

Challenges:

  • Allowed time period is short to complete syllabus which limits the classroom interaction and flexibility in teaching learning methodology.
  • To attract good students towards basic science at UG level.
  • Motivating students to learn and improvement in results.
  • Providing better job opportunities to students and establish relation with industries.
  • Pitiable laboratory skills for students at entry level.

Future plans:

  • Faculty to be actively involved in research. Apply for Major and Minor research project, publish research papers in reputed Journals and Books.
  • To prepare students for curricular and extracurricular activities.
  • Dispose student’s enrichment programs.
  • To use modern teaching aids and ICT.
  • Extension and voltage stabilization of laboratory.
